A Magical Christmas Evening in Old Amersham
The Amersham Society and OABA (Old Amersham Business Association present the Christmas late night shopping evening in Old Amersham on Friday the 4th December. It set to be even more special than usual this year as it will boast the exciting and Magical experience of having both a Santa’s Grotto with real live reindeer and a free skating rink on Market Square. There will be plenty of activities up and down the High Street, The Broadway and Whielden Street to keep children (young and old!) entertained. Things kick off at 6pm and the Christmas lights will be switched on around the Old Town and on the beautiful Christmas Tree at 6.15pm. The Christmas lights will ensure that Old Amersham looks quite Magical.
Whilst shoppers can browse the shops that will stay open until late, there will be several local choirs and singing groups dotted around the old town. The stores taking part will be offering drinks and nibbles to tempt the shoppers in, as well as having a few special offers available to customers on the night. There are a few added extras yet to be announced, however the Dovecote car park (situated off The Broadway just before Tesco’s) will have free parking in the old town all day Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December so shoppers and visitors can enjoy and make the most of the shops, pubs and restaurants.

Su Chases (owner of Su Chases Interiors on the High Street) said “The whole retail experience in Old Amersham is an absolute joy. The Old Town, with its Georgian architecture, and mixture of retail, restaurants, pubs, cafes, hotels, a museum and attractive buildings provides a visual delight before you even start. IGSA Monthly Coffee Posse
Dear All

2 August
at 12:00–14:00
Show Map
Costa Coffee, Wendover
HP22 6 Wendover, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom
We are now starting to organise monthly get togethers, or Coffee Posses for the local LGBTIQ Community and Victims of Crime.

All members of the community are welcome, regardless and Sex, Gender, Sexuality and Gender Identity et al.

Initially we are hoping to hold these on the First Saturday of every month, the first being on Saturday 2 August 2014 at 12:00 noon. We will of course have a vote as to how often the meetings should be held and the best format for them.

This event is to provide an open forum for those people who are not necessarily happy going directly to Thames Valley Police with their concerns or who are in need of support in their daily lives.

As this is the first Coffee Posse, it is envisaged that this would be used as a general gathering to see how we would like the meetings to be used and in order to gauge the number of people who would be interested in attending, also to construct a mail list for our monthly newsletter.

Moving forward, it is envisaged that we will have monthly guest speakers from:

1. OutEverywhere - on Safe LGBTIQ Social Networking

2. 17-24-30 - by Mark Healy - on How to Report Hate Crime and the Different Types of Hate Crime

3. International Gender and Sexuality Alliance - on Global LGBTIQ Campaigns

Anyone else who would like to present on a subject, please let us know on igsa@assmgroup.co.uk

We would obviously like to keep it as relaxed as possible, but in the future, we may have a look at having donation buckets to raise funds for the supporting groups.

Looking forward to seeing you on 2 August 2014.

Kind Regards

Julien FitzGerald HNC(BusFin)
