Outdoor Events Chilli Festival Weekend
Celebrating its 10th year this September, our annual Chilli Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

With more than 50 handpicked exhibitors, all passionate about chilli, the festival guarantees to bring you the best of local artisan producers as well as some of the nation's best loved independent traders from across the country.

Find everything for the chilli fanatic or intrepid chilli novice; delicious jams, exotic and enticing pastes and pickles, chutneys and oils, relishes and sauce alongside spicy cheese, chilli beers and chocolate.

If things get a little hot, there are also stalls offering refreshing drinks with local beers and ciders and cooling frozen yoghurt and ice creams.

What is Aylesbury parkrun?
It is a 5km run - it's not a race, it's you against the clock.

When is it?
Every Saturday at 9:00am.

Where is it?
The event takes place in the fields opposite the Quarrendon & Meadowcroft Community Centre, Aylesbury, HP19 9HH. See Course page on our site for more details.

What does it cost to join in?
Nothing - it's free! but please register at www.parkrun.org.uk/register before your first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode. If you forget it, you won't get a time.

How fast do I have to be?
We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace, have fun, make friends & help keep fit.

Outdoor Events Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge 2016
The Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge, a fundraising event to support Rennie Grove Hospice Care, returns on Sunday 4 September for its eighth year! Join Rennie Grove for their own version of the famous national challenge and experience the beautiful scenery along part of the Ridgeway National Trail, taking in Whiteleaf Cross, Coombe Hill and Ivinghoe Beacon.

The event will start and finish at Princes Risborough School and you can choose to walk either 5, 9 or 18 miles around the Chilterns. It is a fantastic opportunity to enter as a team and spend quality time together with your family, friends or work colleagues. Children of all ages are more than welcome and you can bring the dog along too!

Registration costs just £20 for adults and £10 for children (anyone aged 5 to 17 years old), with under 5s going free. For more information, please visit

Sit back, relax and watch the steam lazily curl past your window. There are 5 timetabled trains that you can choose from; these are 11.00 (steam), 12.15 (vintage diesel), 13.30 (steam), 15.00 (steam), & 16.30 (steam). You could also make it extra special and book delicious cream teas which are served in the Afternoon Tea Car on the 13.30, 15.00 and 16.30 departures from Chinnor. Advance booking for cream tea reservations can be ordered separately online. There is a large free car park, cafe and souvenir shop available at Chinnor station. Medieval Fun Day
Hear the Museum echo with Medieval drums and fanfares as The Lion Rampant presents a day full of Medieval fun. Join their dances, accompanied by minstrels and singers, be entertained by their merry band of bowmen and gasp at freestyle combat between knights.
