A plane crash which left UKIP's Nigel Farage severely injured while he campaigned to be Buckingham MP was caused by its election campaign banner.

An accident report into the crash on May 6th - the day of the general election - has been published.

It found a banner became wrapped round the tail plane, causing the aircraft's nose to dip, and the fall to the ground.

John Bercow retained his seat in the election.
