8 Year Old Girl Raises Money For Young Carers
6:01am 31st July 2011
An 8 year old girl from Aylesbury's cycling 11 miles today to raise money for Bucks Young Carers.
The charity gives support to children and teenagers who care for someone in their family because of a physical or mental illness.
Macy wants to raise £300 in total. She'll be cycling from Fairford Leys to Wyvale Garden Centre and back.
When Macy Parrott's mum was having up to 15 seizures a day, she helped her take her medication, made sure she ate properly and helped to look after her younger brother.
Young Carers not only gave Macy someone to talk to but she was given time to be a kid again
Macy told us what she enjoyed the most ''Swimming, going to Mead Farm, going to Booker Park School and doing lots of activities, going bowling and going horse-riding.''
