Free Christmas tree recycling schemes will be operating in Bucks and Herts this weekend.

There'll be chippers on Moor Road in Chesham on Saturday and Sunday.

Also on Sunday you can take your tree to Water Lane Car park in Berkhamsted or to Tring's Garden Centre.

Environmental Officer for Dacorum Borough Council, Sheila Chauhan told Mix 96 keen gardeners can take the chippings away with them: "These are places are where we'll actually be chipping the tree - so you can actually say goodbye to your tree and see it being chopped into little bits.

Then there's an opportunity to take away the chippings from your tree because they do become very good weed preventative if you put it on your garden."
