Aylesbury: Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder

Thames Valley Police has arrested a 37 year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident at a property in Aylesbury.
Police were called to a property in Belgrave Road at 11.40am today (Tuesday 5th March), after a woman was seriously assaulted.
At about 12.24pm, following a search of the surrounding area, police located and arrested a 37 year-old man in Faraday Road.
The victim was taken to hospital with head and arm injuries and is currently in a stable condition.
Investigating officer Det Insp Christopher Inness told Mix96:
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and he will be questioned by detectives. The welfare of the victim is our primary concern and she is currently being supported by a specially trained officer. This is being treated as an isolated incident and a full investigation is under way.
"I would appeal to anyone who heard or saw anything unusual in the area of Belgrave Road and the Rabans Lane Industrial Estate between 11am and 12.30pm to come forward and call us via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101."
