A man has died this morning after a crane has crashed onto the anticlockwise carriageway of the M25 in Buckinghamshire.

Thames Valley Police say it happened from a site alongside it, at Court Lane.

It's believed the victim fell from the industrial kit as it collapsed onto the carriageway next to the site - distinctive to motorists by the arrage of cherry pickers arranged close to the perimeter fencing.

Police have told Mix 96 they were called at 0921 to the scene, between junctions 16 and 15 (M40-M4).

One lane is closed with a warning for drivers it's likely to remain that way for "for some time".

** TRAFFIC UPDATE 13:48 **

There are 30 minute delays on the a/c M25 stretching back from before j18 Chorleywood to j15 M4
