Chris Maskery

Chris is the newest of the bunch - he's just joined in August and is the News Editor, which generally means he makes everyone else make him tea. He's been at a few other stations before coming here, but is originally from Stoke - luckily he had the sense to move down here years ago!! When not reading the news he can found playing his guitar and pretending to be able to surf (he can't, he's rubbish).

Andrew Kay

Andrew joined Mix 96 as a journalist and newsreader in 2007, having worked at radio stations across the UK, including Oxford and Carlisle.  His most prized possession is his minidisc recorder, which he uses to intimidate interviewees across the Vale.  His second most prized possession is his freeview plus box, which he uses to watch archived episodes of Family Guy on

Penny Harper

Penny has been on air at Mix 96 for many years, both as a presenter and newsreader throughout the schedule.  She can currently be heard reading the news at the weekends.

Julien Hicks

Julien is a journalist and newsreader and has been a regular voice on Mix 96 at the weekends for many years now.
