Nathan Cooper
Nathan joined Mix 96 in 1997
Nathan joined Mix 96 in 1997, having previously worked on radio stations in Oxford and Kent. Away from Mix 96, he enjoys all sports (mostly watching not playing!), especially football, and he does a bit of “moonlighting” by commentating on football matches up and down the country – his week never feels complete unless he's been to York on a Tuesday night followed by a trip to Torquay on the Saturday. He is also stadium announcer at Oxford United.
One day he would like to follow his parents' lead and move abroad (although persuading “Mrs Nathan” might be a bit tricky) and find a job on an English Radio station in the sunshine.
Musically he likes most things…the first album he brought was "Prince Charming" by Adam and the Ants, and currently in his CD player you'll find a dance compilation, Keane's "Hopes and Fears" and The Corrs Greatest Hits.
Meeting Andrea Corr was one of his favourite experiences, but also the most embarrassing as he was reduced to a stumbling wreck.
