Foster for Bucks and make a difference

Could you give a child their best days? Enid has been a foster carer for 7 years and has looked after a number of children. She shares her experiences with us, the process she went through to become a foster carer and why she loves fostering. There are 400 children and young people in care across Buckinghamshire and we urgently need more foster carers to look after them. Children come into foster care for all sorts of reasons when their birth families are unable to look after them. Local foster carers enable children to them to stay close to their communities so they can maintain vital links with family and friends, and remain in their school. As Enid says, anyone can foster, regardless of your race, religion, culture, class, gender, age or marital status. All you need is a spare room and a big heart.
