Befrienders
Connection is a local charity providing support to older people living in independent living schemes ( formally known as sheltered housing).

Some of the residents we support don't receive many visitors, so we are looking for volunteers to visit an older person for 1 or 2 hours a week to provide a bit of company.

You might play a board game, sit in the garden or just a have a cup of tea and a chat! No experience is needed, just a caring attitude and awareness of boundaries.

We cover mileage and can be quite flexible around the times you volunteer.
