Halloween is all about the pumpkins!

We've got together some great ideas to inspire you into carving your pumpkin in a slightly unusual manner - see below.

But we've also teamed up with #PumpkinRescue from Bucks County Council to try and reduce waste and give you ideas on how to use up your pumpkin.

Wes from Mix96 has got inspired and made some pumpkin and rosemary spaghetti:

Here's the recipe:


  • Spaghetti enough for 4
  • 1 small pumpkin   
  • 2 sprigs of Rosemary (chopped)
  • 1 clove of garlic (crushed)
  • 1 shallot (finely chopped)
  • 150ml double cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoon of chopped parsley
  • 2 oz butter
  • 150ml white wine  
  • Grated parmesan


  • Pre-heat the oven to 190c/375F.
  • Peel and deseed the pumpkin then chop into 2cm cubes.
  • Place in an ovenproof dish with the rosemary and a splash of olive oil.
  • Place in the oven for 45mins.
  • Cook the pasta.
  • Panfry butter,  shallots and garlic for 2 minutes.  Add mustard and wine and simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Add the cream and parsley and stir in.
  • Drain off the pasta and ad it to the sauce,  then add in the pumpkin.
  • Serve and add parmesan.
