The successful candidate will be ensuring that our clients receive the care and support that they require. To empower, enable and support the client to fulfil their needs and maintain their quality of life.

In full liaison of the client to implement Client specific Care plans by directly prioritising practical, physical, social and emotional care in clients own home.

To carry out duties in support of, and under supervision of Client manager, in association of wider team of Client Assistants.

To promote philosophy of dignity, privacy, choice, rights and independence of Client, within the scope of policies and procedures set out by Amegreen Complex Homecare ltd.

Personal care of the client, duties could include: Washing and bathing, Assisting Client to dress / undress, Moving and handling, Pressure area care, eye care, mouth care, toileting – this list is a guide and not exhaustive.

Management of specialist equipment within the clients home i.e. Ventilators, saturation monitors, suction machines, nebulisers, hoists, wheelchairs, cushions, tilt tables, medical beds and mattresses – this list is a guide and not exhaustive.

General care of the client, duties could include: Meal preparation and food control, light household duties, laundry, dusting and vacuuming, escorting Client to appointments / social arrangements, driving adaptive vehicles where appropriate, care of pets – this is a guide and this list is not exhaustive.

Administer client medication under supervision from Client Manager

To respond to reasonable requests of Client.

Client assistant must perform other duties as reasonably requested by Client Manager or their line of management.

To be accountable for the maintenance and cleanliness of your working and designated staff areas, and adhere to Amegreen infection control policies and procedures at all times, ensuring hand cleansing agents are used appropriately.

To be responsible for the management of risk in all areas for which you are accountable for, in accordance with Amegreen Health and Safety policies.
All Client Assistants to be aware of Amegreen’s Equal Opportunities policy.

Client Assistant is expected to behave in a professional manner at all times, acting as an ambassador for Amegreen in accordance with company policy and procedure.
To attend staff meetings, support colleagues and work as part of a team for the benefit and well being of the Client.

All Client Assistants will be subject to performance appraisal under the supervision of their direct line manager and the development and formulation of own personal objectives.

It is an essential requirement to attend ALL mandatory training as set out in Amegreen policies and procedures.

To be open to attending additional training as supplied and supported by Amegreen.

To be supported in desire to develop skills to progress in role / promotion.

Salary:
Between £8.50 and £9.50 Per Hour
