We are looking for someone who will always go over and above our Client’s expectations and put quality of care at the forefront of everything they do. The successful candidate will be a dedicated individual who will work closely with the Registered Manager and our lovely team of Carers.

The job role entails a wide range of responsibilities across domiciliary care and will be required in different working environments such as in the office and also out in the community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To lead the team in accordance with directions given by management.
  • Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the home care service.
  • Assessing and reviewing service users.
  • Undertaking on call & care duties as required to support with shortfalls on shift to ensure the smooth running of the business and a safe & responsive service is provided to our service users.
  • Providing excellent care to our service users.
  • Responsible for overseeing a team of carers and planning staff rotas.
  • Liaising with external organisations such as other healthcare professionals.
  • To assist in making any necessary phone calls to GPs, OTs, Social Services and pharmacies.
  • Building excellent working relationships with our service users and their families.
  • Supervising and spot-checking junior staff.
  • Ensuring that care plans are kept updated and new ones delivered to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring documentation is kept up to date and is CQC compliant at all times
  • To support new starters as they join the team, overseeing their induction and training.
  • Helping to ensure compliance with CQC standards.
  • Ensure consistent application of Autumn Years Care policies, procedures and approved practice; and to promote our aims and values.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the emergency on-call mobile phone is covered outside normal office hours, including holding the phone as part of the on-call rota.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 3 NVQ in health and Social care.
  • Experience of leading and supporting a team within a care environment will be a distinct advantage but not an essential as training is provided.
  • Full, clean driving license and own transport.
  • Passionate about providing excellent care.
  • A desire to progress your career in care.
  • Team worker.
  • Flexibility is essential-you must be flexible to work alternate weekends.

Salary:

  • £20000 + (depending on experience)
  • Mileage Allowance
  • £12 an hour (£15 an hour bank holidays) for any care calls undertaken outside of contracted working hours.
