About:
If you’ve been inspired by the BBC’s A House Through Time, come and find out how to uncover the history of a property using some of the key documentary records available. Cathy Soughton will use case studies to demonstrate how to piece together a history showing when a house may have been built, how it has changed and who lived there in the past.

Cathy is a professional house historian and accredited genealogist who researches the history of properties for private home owners and property professionals. Projects have included a Regency townhouse in Berkhamsted where Lady Clementine Churchill spent part of her childhood and a Georgian building in Marlow built for a local MP which is now a solicitor’s office. She was one of the ‘Ask the Experts’ at the Who Do You Think You Are Live Show and Family Tree Live Show. Ticket price includes tea and cake.
