Meet the candidates who have decided to run to replace Sir David Lidington.

Who wants to be Aylesbury's next MP?

After 27 years, Aylesbury will have a brand new MP on 13th December.

Sir David Lidington has stepped down as the area's MP, after serving it since 1992.

Now, candidates have come forward to campaign for our votes on 12th December.

This is what we know so far, looking at the candidates in alphabetical order.

Rob Butler


Hoping to take over from former Tory, David Lidington, Rob Butler is the prospective blue candidate.

He's a former journalist and presenter who now works in communications and marketing.

Liz Hind

Labour Party

Could Aylesbury get its first female MP?

Liz Hind will be hoping so, as she has been selected to run for the Labour Party here.

She's a pub landlady in Aylesbury and used to work in education.

Steven Lambert

Liberal Democrats

Steven has stood in the last three General Elections for the Aylesbury seat.

He's been a councillor on both the County and District councils for many years, representing Fairford Leys.

Coral Simpson

The Green Party

Standing for the second time, Coral Simpson is the Green candidate for the area.

She works in social care and has campaigned on a number of issues.
