What would Aylesbury's candidates do about development?

Aylesbury's facing a huge amount of development at the moment - but there are worries over infrastructure.

So how would our potential new MP deal with it?

We have asked all of them and this is what they had to say:

In alphabetical order.

Rob Butler - Conservative

Rob Butler

Rob said:

"It's right, of course, that we have development, it's really important that the next generation and the one after will have the opportunity to have their own homes.

"But that development needs to be matched by the right infrastructure and it needs to be in the right places and at the right time.

"That often means before all the housing."

Liz Hind - Labour Party

Liz Hind

Liz told us:

"We need to have a joined-up policy which looks at the infrastructure here and possibly looking at moving people out of their cars and onto buses.

"But we also need to make sure people can afford their housing."

Steven Lambert - Liberal Democrats

Steven Lambert

Steven told us:

"A few weeks ago, the Conservative government gave all this money to all these town including Wycombe, but it bypassed Aylesbury.

"Why would it bypass Aylesbury, one of the fastest-growing towns in the region?

"As the MP, it's your job to go and bat for Aylesbury and that is exactly what I will be doing for infrastructure, because we really need it."

Coral Simpson - The Green Party

Coral Simpson

Coral said:

"You know, we live in a really beautiful area, we don't want to build all over it.

"Yes, there is a need for some new housing, but I don't believe there is a need for as much housing as we are told there is.

"I think there is enough space there, it just needs filling and distributing properly."
