Thame has re-elected John Howell

He has been MP for the area for 11 years having been elected in 2008 and will continue to represent it in parliament having won 54.8% of the vote.

He got 32,189 votes, way ahead of second-placed Lib Dem Laura Coyle who achieved 18,136 votes, which in itself was a big increase in their share of the vote. 

In total the Lib Dems won a 30.9% share of the vote, up 16 percentage points from the 2017 election.

Third placed last night was Labour's Zaid Marham on 5,698 votes with Green's Jo Robb finishing fourth with 2,736 votes.
