Stoke Mandeville Businesses Claim They're Losing Money Over Work Road Closures

Road Resurfacing

10:12am 15th August 2015

2 days of roadworks will see Lower Road in Stoke Manderville closed..

We've been contacted by businessess owners saying they're out of pocket because of the loss of key weekend trading days.

The work's for much needed resurfacing .

Transport for Buckinghamshire says:

"Preparation work has already taken pace on this road, and the resurfacing is planned to take place this Saturday and Sunday under a road closure from 7am to 7pm. With the nature of the surfacing taking place, the work cannot be carried out overnight. The footpaths will remain open, and we will endeavour to open the road as soon as possible. As with all road surfacing, work is weather dependant.

Access will be allowed residents and local businesses and their customers, although there will be restrictions while the surfacing works pass immediately in front of the premises. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles throughout the duration of the works."
