Buckingham Leisure Centre Shows Off 2.6m Makeover

The Swan Pool and Leisure Centre in Buckingham is showing off it's new facilities at an open day today

Anyone can use the facilities for free and take taster sessions all day.

These will include a full timetable of group exercise classes, rock box climbing, swimming, gym challenges and squash sessions.

Visitors can also meet the team who organise Fit for Sport holiday activity camps for children, try Zorbing on the all-weather pitch where you can roll around inside a giant see-through ball, and enjoy face painting and other family fun.

Everyone Active will be giving a free yearly membership to the 1,000 visitor on the day along with spot prizes.

It's after a 2.6 million redevelopment to modernise the centre.

James Ewart's the General Manager he said:

"We are delighted to be throwing open our doors and inviting people to come and experience the brand new facilities at Swan Pool.

"The recent refurbishment has seen the centre kitted out with the latest equipment, offering top-class fitness provision for the local area.

"We hope that families and friends will come down to try out the new modernised centre and enjoy a fun, active day out."
