Man Hit With Metal Pole During Aylesbury Burglary

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Aylesbury on Friday.

Shortly before 2pm the victim, a 19-year-old man, was inside a property in Harvey Road when two men entered  through an unlocked door. He was assaulted by one of the men with a metal pole. The victim managed to defend himself and chased the offenders away.

Nothing was stolen during the incident. The victim sustained facial injuries which did not require hospital treatment.

The offenders are described as Asian, aged in their early twenties, 5ft 7ins to 6ft. Both were wearing tracksuits, gloves and face coverings at the time of the offence.

Det Con Gemma Robinson, from Aylesbury Force CID, said: “We are investigating this incident in which a man was assaulted after offenders entered his home. I would like to encourage anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at around the time of the incident, or anyone with any information which could assist with enquiries, to speak to police.”
