There's been an aggravated burglary in Aylesbury.

The victims - a man and woman in their twenties - shut themselves in a room for safety before fleeing their home.

Cash, a Samsung tablet and a white Apple i-Phone were stolen.

Investigating officer, Det Sgt Nick Mullen from Local CID at Aylesbury police station, said: “We are working to establish the circumstances of this incident.

"There is a scene watch in place at the property today and officers are in the area making enquiries.

"Fortunately the victims were not injured, but this was a frightening incident for them.

"I would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything in the Springfield Close area around the time of the burglary.

"Please call Thames Valley Police on 101 as soon as possible."
