Dog Stolen In Stoke Hammond Burglary

Published by the Mix96 News Team at 9:25am 5th June 2016.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Stoke Hammond in which the owner's pet dog was stolen.

Between 7.20am and 5.20pm on Thursday offenders forced entry through a window at a property in Leighton Road and conducted an untidy search of the house.

Jewellery, a mobile phone and a three-year-old Pug dog called Frank were stolen from the property.

Frank (pictured) is fawn-coloured and has a microchip.

Investigating officer Det Con Gemma Howe, from Aylesbury Local CID, said:

“I would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at around the time of the incident.

“The owner has been left without his pet dog, which obviously adds to the distress caused by the burglary, and I appeal to anyone who sees or is offered a dog matching Frank’s description to contact police.”

Anyone with any information about the incident or has details about Frank’s whereabouts should contact Aylesbury Local CID via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers (opens new window) anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
