No Limits For Weston Turville Mum Who Hopes To Open Learning Equipment Library

We all know the saying "Knowledge is the key to success" ...and a Weston Turville mum is putting exactly that into practice.

A learning equipment library called 'Stuff-ed', is being set up by Betty Beston to benefit kids in our county.

Betty got the idea when she realised she couldn't always afford extra things to improve her childrens education.

Things like microscopes, models of the human body and sewing machines will be available to use.

Betty explained why she wants to do this, she said:

"The future of any community is with the kids.

"If we can provide children with additional learning opportunities outside of any current educational scene that they're in or to supplement and add onto that, I think is only a good thing.

"It's going to enable them to try things in a very experimental way, get their hands dirty and really explore topics.

"Maybe if a child shows a real interest after they've borrowed the equipment, then families may want to make a further investment, so it's a good way to try things out too."

Betty hopes to open the library before schoolkids break up in July but first she must raise funds and donations of educational resources to equip the library and pay for things like insurance and storage boxes.

Betty told us:

"Without stuff, there'll be no Stuff-ed, so I'm reaching out to the local community for support. If there are families with grown-up children with educational equipment they no longer need, we'd love to have it.

"If people are willing to donate money (I'm trying to raise £1000), or buy us something from our Amazon wishlist, then we'd be so grateful."
