Job Seekers Claimants Down To Just 0.6% in Bucks

The number of claimants of Job Seeker's Allowance around Buckinghamshire has dropped by almost 700 people since last year - bringing the total down to just 0.6% of the county's population.

The figures released today by the Office for National Statistics shows that the total amount of people people signed up to the benefit in Buckinghamshire stands at 2021.

That is a reduction of 0.2% since last year.

Men are still the majority claimers with the split between genders being 1,195 men to 826 women.

The news comes as national unemployment dropped by 52 000 to 1.64 million in the 3 months to June.
