Three Injured In Aylesbury Fail To Stop Collision

Published by the Mix96 News Team at 10:37am 4th September 2016.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Aylesbury.

At around 6.20pm on Thursday (1/9) a black Volkswagen Golf was driving from the Hartwell towards Haddenham. A vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, possibly a Vauxhall people carrier, moved onto the other side of the road causing the driver of the Golf to swerve. The Golf left the road and collided with a hedgerow.

The driver of the Volkswagen Golf, a 28-year-old man, and two passengers, a 28-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy all sustained whiplash and bruising. They were treated at Stoke Mandeville hospital and have since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Andrew Martin of Roads Policing based at Amersham police station said:

“If you witnessed the collision and can help us identify the vehicle involved please contact me via the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.

“If you have any information if you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers (opens new window) anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.”
