A 19-year-old woman has been sexually assaulted in High Wycombe.

What happened?

  • At around 2.10am on Sunday (13/11) the victim was walking on Priory Road and heard a rustling noise from behind her.
  • She carried on walking until she was at the end of Priory Road when she noticed a man who she did not know close behind her.
  • When the victim continued walking up Amersham Hill the man behind her approached her, reached out and sexually assaulted her.
  • The victim screamed and the offender then ran away down Terry Road.

What does the offender look like?

Police have described the offender as a man aged approximately in his 60s, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 9ins, possibly white or Asian, and slim. He was hunched and appeared scruffy. He was wearing a green coat with a hood which had a grey lining, dark coloured baggy trousers and white trainers.

Investigating officer PC Rachel Miller, based at High Wycombe police station, said:

"Incidents of this nature are unusual in High Wycombe. We are investigating the circumstances and I would like to speak to anyone who may have driven or walked along Amersham Hill at around the time of the offence.

"I am also appealing for anyone who may have seen anyone who they believe to be the victim or the offender at any point during the night. If anyone has any information no matter how trivial it may seem please contact police."
