Susan-Morgan

Part of Aylesbury has a new district councillor.

A by-election took place yesterday (Thursday 6 April), for voters in Elmhurst to choose a new District Councillor.

The election was held following a request from local government electors after UKIP District Councillor, Andrew Hetherington, resigned last year.

Counting took place immediately after the poll and Susan Morgan (Liberal Democrat) was elected with just over 63% of the vote and a turnout of 26.5%.

Councillor Morgan takes up her position with immediate effect.
