Man injured during fight in Chesham

A man was taken to hospital for his injuries after an argument between a large group of people resulted in a fight in Chesham.

What happened?

  • Last Friday at around 11.30pm an argument took place between a large group of individuals, predominantly men, in Deansway at the junction with Shortway.
  • A fight then broke out in which a 23-year-old man was struck in the face.
  • The victim received a laceration to his face which required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged. 

A 29-year-old man from Chesham has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Justine Haw from Force CID, said:

“The victim of this assault had to receive hospital treatment due to the injuries sustained.

"We are urging anyone who witnessed it to please come forward. If anyone has any information that could assist with the investigation, please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101, quoting incident number 43170108756."
