New charity partner for Medical Detection Dogs

A Buckinghamshire charity has a new partner, who will help them with fundraising.

No2 Pound Street, a wine shop and deli in Wendover has announced the partnership with Medical Detection Dogs.

The charity, which trains dogs to detect the odour of life-threatening human diseases and is at the forefront of the research into the fight against cancer, will benefit from fundraising events held at the Wendover store.

No2 Pound Street staff and customers will be raising money for the next six months by offering its customers complimentary tea and coffee every Thursday morning from 10am - 12noon, in return for a donation to Medical Detection Dogs.

To launch this partnership, Medical Detection Dogs will be in the store on Thursday 28th September from 10am -12noon.

James Grant, No2 Pound Street, said:

"We hope our collaboration with Medical Detection Dogs will raise much-needed funds but also inspire our customers and colleagues to come together and to raise awareness and to support Medical Detection Dogs in the long term, helping them to save and change more lives."

The funds raised will make a huge difference in enabling Medical Detection Dogs to save and change lives.

For example, it costs £13,000 to train a Medical Alert Assistance Dog and £11,500 to train a Bio Detection Dog.
