Man robbed late at night in Aylesbury town centre

A man who was having a chat with five people in Aylesbury was then beaten up and robbed by them.

What happened?

  • At around 4:30am on Saturday morning (11/11) the victim was engaged in conversation with a group of five people, outside a licensed premise, in Buckingham Street.
  • They were initially friendly but then demanded money.
  • The victim quickly left the group and got into a taxi.
  • Two of them followed him, opened the taxi door and assaulted him. They then stole his mobile phone.

DC Rachel Huggins, from Aylesbury Investigation Hub, is investigating this incident. She said:

“If you were in the town centre around this time on Saturday morning and witnessed anything, please call me.

“Robberies like this are rare and I want to make sure that the offenders are arrested, so that socialising in Aylesbury continues to be safe for everyone.”
