(Updated 7:11am 22nd January 2018)

UPDATED - 7.10am

The A418 north of Aylesbury has been partially closed because of the heavy rain yesterday (Sunday).

The road has partially flooded between Wing and Wingrave.

This morning (Monday) the road between Wing and Wingrave has temporary traffic lights, according to callers to our Jamline.

Earlier, the southbound side had been closed:

Transport for Bucks told us it is unlikely this will be re-opened for rush hour.

All they can do for now is monitor the water levels.

Flooding

There is a flood warning in place for the River Thame & Chalgrove Brook.

Flooding is possible for: River Thame from Marsworth to Dorchester including, Long Marston, Rowsham, North Aylesbury, Cuddington, Thame, Shabbington, Ickford, Waterperry, Cuddesdon, Wheatley, Quarrendon, Drayton St Leonard, Overy, the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton..

That's according to the Environment Agency.

They say property flooding isn't likely.

EARLIER

There has been a lot of standing water after the heavy rain, so drivers are being warned to take extra care.
