A few weeks ago 16-year-old Charlotte Bullivant from Waddesdon received the worst news of her life.

Her Dad has had a small tumour behind his right eye for the last 20 years, which took the eye and left him with a prosthetic.

Despite this he managed to still live a normal, fulfilling life, and in 2014 Charlotte's Dad underwent what they all thought would be the final surgery to remove the tumour for good.

Fast forward to earlier this month; Charlotte and her family received the news that not only had the tumour returned, but it was now going to kill him.

Charlotte's Dad will now be trying a range of different treatments, but in the meantime, Charlotte has planned to raise money by shaving all her hair off. She said:

"Not many girls my age would shave off all their hair, and in the year of prom especially! But I've always thought about it; our family has been affected by cancer through external and internal factors."

"All my hair is going to be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who lose their hair to cancer treatments."

"[My Dad's] tumour isn't receptive to normal types of cancer treatments, so things like chemotherapy and radiotherapy won't actually work. He's going to be trialling all these new treatments that Cancer Research are coming up with. So any money they can get will make a difference, and if it doesn't cure my Dad, it's going to cure somebody else."

Charlotte will be shaving her hair on 10th March at The Lion in Waddesdon.

There will also be a raffle, disco, live band, 'name the teddy' competition and more.
