A 37-second video shot by a pensioner in Amersham went viral before being removed from YouTube.

It showed the moment Tim Edwards' car was hit by a Bentley driving through Old Amersham at around 85mph.

The 74-year-old has shared the footage in a story with the Mail Online, after the man driving the Continental GT driver was sentenced.

Mr. Edwards was negotiating the give-way junction and couldn't avoid being sent flying.

The Mail reports that his car spun a full 360 degrees through the garden wall seen above.

The driver of the Bentley reportedly failed to stop and has since been jailed for 14 months and given a driving ban.

Tim told the newspaper that if he hadn't been in a 4x4, he thinks he would have died.

He adds in the Mail article:

"I was in a pretty sturdy car which took the impact well otherwise it could’ve been a lot worse.

"In fact the other driver was more seriously injured, he’d left blood all over his airbag. He climbed out of the driver’s side window, called a friend who arrived a few minutes later in another car and they drove off.

"I didn’t say anything to him and he didn’t say anything to me. These modern cars are able to contact emergency services automatically on impact and an ambulance arrived within five minutes followed by a fire engine and police."
