Racist posters appear in Buckingham

Buckingham - welcome sign

5:44am 15th March 2018

People in Buckingham have been seeing some pretty nasty posters recently.

Police say they've had reports of racist posters up around Bourton Meadow Park.

Officers have taken down any they could find.

They are now investigating.

In a statement on Facebook, Thames Valley Police said:

Thankfully, incidents such as these are rare, however, if material like this is seen, please call 101 directly to report it to us so that officers can assess, remove any of the literature and investigate accordingly.

We take all reports of hate crime or racist incidents seriously and will deal with offenders robustly.

If you have any information as to how these came to be circulated in Buckingham, contact 101, quoting reference 43180078245.
