A car crash on the Western Link Road near Buckingham Park has left a man injured.

Two fire crews and an ambulance attended the scene on Martin Dalby Way at 7.15pm on Sunday evening.

Reports suggest the patient was airlifted to hospital after the car flipped and ended up on its roof.

A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said:

"We sent an ambulance, a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance to the incident.

"The driver was a 25-year-old male who had appeared to have fortunately sustained only minor injuries, however, there was some concern that he had been ejected from the vehicle as a result of the accident and therefore he could have potentially sustained more serious injuries and he was then taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, by road for further assessment."
