Bucks mum in the final of National Business Awards

A Buckinghamshire mum of two and business owner has reached the final of The Mpower National Business Awards.
The prestigious awards celebrate parents throughout the country who manage juggling business with family life.
Katrina Bruni, who's from Aylesbury, is the founder of Goodness Gracious Gifts which sell self-care products that are all sourced ethically.
Katrina suffered from Post Natal Depression and told us how creating her company cured her:
"I realised I was actually self curing myself from PND without having to take tablets, without having to have any therapy - just by looking after myself.
"I think a lot of women feel like they shouldn't do that and they think they should just carry on, put the brave face on and just crack on with life."
As well as being shortlisted for this category, Katrina is also in with a chance of winning the title of Mpower Woman Of The Year 2018, which will be awarded to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and could walk away with a fantastic prize.
Having reached the finals Katrina said:
"I am beyond thrilled and grateful of such a wonderful opportunity and it means so much to have this recognition for my hard work and passion, whilst juggling family life on my own.
"Winning this prestigious award would do wonders for my business and family."
She also has this advice for other mum's who want to start something of their own:
"It does take some dedication and motivation.
"You are going to have to put the kids to bed and then go downstairs and work, or work when they're at nursery, work when they're napping, because I've done that for the last four and a half years.
"But, it's paid off!
"If you have a passion for something and you want to get it out there, then go for it.
"Believe in yourself and have hope."
