Aylesbury murder: Man detained under Mental Health Act

A man, who was arrested after a woman was stabbed to death in Aylesbury, has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
The 54-year-old woman was formally identified as Lorna Myers yesterday (11/07).
What happened:
- Police were called at around 3:45pm on Saturday (7/7) to Wood White Drive on Buckingham Park
- Officers attended the scene where a woman had sustained stab wounds.
- Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene
- A 14-year-old boy was also injured as a result of the incident, he sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.
- A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

A post mortem established the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
This afternoon (12/7) the man who was arrested was detained under the Mental Health Act.
