Taxi driver threatened with a knife in High Wycombe

A taxi driver has been robbed at knife point in High Wycombe.

It happened at just before 10.30am last Friday (21/9) at the junction of Victoria Street and Green Street as the cabbie sat in his car.

Two men opened the driver-side door, threatening him with a blade and took the cash he was holding. They then ran off towards Desborough Road.

The first offender is described as a black man of average build and around 6ft tall. He was wearing a black Nike hooded top with the hood pulled up around his face, dark trousers and black gloves which had fabric on top and leather on the palms.

The second offender is described as a black man wearing a dark coloured hooded top and trousers.

Case Investigator Harriet Hayes, based at High Wycombe police station, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any CCTV or dash-cam footage that may have captured it. This happened in a busy location during the day so it is likely that a passer-by may have seen something.”
