Worries over plans for Aston Clinton restaurant site
Published by Dan Gooding at 11:34am 10th October 2018.
Turning a well-known Aston Clinton restaurant into shops would be a mistake.
That's according to over 30 villagers.
They have all objected to the planning application to make the change to the China Water site.
The restaurant is still up and running, but an application asks AVDC for permission to change the building into shops.
It is unclear what could move in if the application is approved.
Comments are mostly negative about the idea, with objectors saying the village has enough shops, with another on the way.
Traffic is another worry, as is that the building itself could go, even though it is considered a landmark of Aston Clinton.
A decision is due some time in November.
