Consultation on future of Aylesbury town planning

A three day consultation in Friars Square starts today to ask people in Aylesbury on town planning for the future.

The event comes after Aylesbury was awarded Garden Town status by the government in January 2017.

It brought with it new funding opportunities so that the right infrastructure, facilities and transport links can be put in place as the town grows.

The programme team are now working on a Masterplan, with a team of experienced master-planning consultants, to create a framework for the future through to 2050.

Community input is key and the event this week will give people a chance to hear the outcomes of the engagement process so far, feed back and share their ideas.

The Aylesbury Garden Town community exhibition will be on from 11am to 5pm.

There will be information boards about the Garden Town programme, an interactive touch screen to 'have your say' and children's activities to keep youngsters entertained, so parents can talk to the team.

For anyone who gets involved, there's the chance to win a family meal at The Kings Head.
