Missing Aylesbury woman found safe

Marie-Claire Salumu was last seen yesterday but has been located safe and well.

Thames Valley Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.


After getting on a bus in Aylesbury, a woman has gone missing.

Marie-Claire Salumu, aged 53, was last seen at a bus stop outside Stoke Mandeville Hospital at 4.30pm yesterday (14/12).

It is believe she boarded a bus to Aylesbury.

Marie-Claire is black, about 5ft 9ins, with black hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing a pink woolen hat, a black coat, grey jogging trousers and beige Ugg boots.

She was carrying a cream or a beige-coloured bag.

Investigating officer, Inspector Tracey Benham said:

"We are becoming increasingly concerned for Marie-Claire Salumu's welfare, especially with the expected cold weather this weekend.

"Marie-Claire is from Enfield in London, but was last seen in Stoke Mandeville yesterday, It is where we believe she boarded a bus to Aylesbury. She is also is known to frequent Bicester Village.

"We would ask that members of the public keep a look out for Marie-Claire, who is also known to use public transport.

"If you see Marie-Claire, or have any information as to her whereabouts, please contact police immediately. In an emergency call 999, otherwise call 101, quoting reference number 695 (14/12)."
