Aylesbury police hunting for robber after Chesham raid

Aylesbury police are hunting for a masked and armed robber who raided a bookies in Chesham on Thursday night.

The intruder ran into the BetFred on the high street at around 9:30pm on the 27th, where he pointed a knife towards a member of staff, a woman in her sixties.

He attempted to take money out of her hand, but she resisted and he escaped from the shop with only a small amount of cash.

The robber is described as being in his late twenties, white, around 5'8" and of slim build. 

He had fair hair and was wearing a green balaclava.

The victim was left with a scratch to her hand and slight bruising.

Aylesbury Force CID Detective Constable Hannah Davison says "We are appealing for witnesses to this incident, which was a scary experience for the victim."

"We are appealing for anyone who saw or heard something that could help us with our investigation."
