'Down Right Amazing' campaign launched by Chesham photographer

Down Right Amazing

Published by Charlotte Fisher at 8:03am 10th February 2019.

Down Right Amazing, that's what a Chesham photographer wants people to see of people living with Down's Syndrome.

Magdalena Sztechman's campaign, #DownRightAmazing, was inspired by her sister who has the condition and lives in Poland.

She wanted to raise awareness of Down's Syndrome but also break down barriers and educate society.

Magdalena will be releasing one photo a day in March of children and adults living with the syndrome along with their stories.

All the money raised will then be donated to Sparkles, a Buckinghamshire charity, who provide speech and language therapy for children.

She said photographing them all was an absolute privilege:

"This photo session we had last Sunday was the most cheerful day and best day of this year so far.

"I'm amazed, they are absolutely wonderful people and I want to help them to grow, because children with Down's Syndrome can achieve a lot."

Photos will start to be released on the campaign page from 1st March.

You can donate to the Down Right Amazing campaign here, all the money raised will go to Sparkles.
