It looks like Aylesbury FC will be changing their name, as they have announced a merger.

The club will officially combine with Bedgrove Dynamos for the next season.

They will be called Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.

Aylesbury FC say this will offer a progression for the youth of Aylesbury to achieve their footballing ambitions.

  • Bedgrove currently offer junior football from the under 3's age group though to Aylesbury and District Senior Mens football.
  • Aylesbury FC have an Under 18s side playing in the Allied Counties Floodlit league and a senior team which next season will compete in the Spartan Premier Division.

In a statement, the club said this merger offers the twenty six junior sides the opportunity to represent one club at every level up to semi professional standard.

Mike Borrett who will chair the new committee commented that "This is a perfect fit for both clubs".
