After growing concerns and lots of talk on social media, Mix96 have news on a popular Aylesbury venue.

The Ex-Services Club on Walton Street seems to have been shut, with no explanation, for at least a week.

This has potentially left customers out of pocket and frantically trying to find another venue.

Christine Cruse had the club booked for Saturday and spent £1,600:

"We just feel disgusted and absolutely shocked, that they could treat their customers like this.

"We are now panicking, we have 90 guests coming to a party that we have no venue.

"These people have come from Ireland, Kent and Bristol."

Luckily, Christine managed to find another venue last night.

We have heard about bookings over the past week or so, which had to happen elsewhere and organisers have reportedly had no joy getting an explanation.

The venue has not been answering phone calls or texts from customers

But, we have had a number of people get in contact with us who have events coming up at the Ex-Services Club and it is a major worry for them.

Christine told us if she hadn't looked into it herself she wouldn't of known the venue was closed.

"We've not been told officially that the party's been cancelled.

"We've had no letters, no phone calls.

"We've constantly been ringing them and texting them, to try and get them to tell us what's going on.

"We would have just turned up on Saturday and had no venue."

What have the council said?

AVDC has told us they are not involved in the Ex-Services Club

However, the last two Fridays their Rates & Recovery team have tried to collect business rates from the venue and it has been closed.

Like many others we have made efforts to contact the venue and management, with no response.
