Aylesbury Ex-Services Club break silence after sudden closure

Aylesbury Ex Services Club-6

Published by Dan Gooding at 5:55am 15th February 2019.

After we told you yesterday that an Aylesbury venue closed suddenly with no explanation, potentially leaving people out of pocket - they have broken their silence.

The Ex-Services Club committee say the venue on Walton Street will be closed for six to eight weeks.

They add that it is down to circumstances beyond their control.

We heard from many people yesterday who had made a booking but had been left with no information after the sudden closure.

They apologised to those with party bookings, but say they can't discuss the situation for legal reasons.

The statement in full reads:

We regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the Ex Services Club will be closed for business for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Unfortunately this mean the club will be unusable during this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding at this unfortunate time.

We also send apologies to people who have had bookings cancelled at short notice but we have been told not to discuss the situation for legal reasons.

It's signed from the club's committee.
