Man punches and dents vehicle stuck in Aylesbury traffic

A man has punched and dented a vehicle stuck in stationary traffic in Aylesbury.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the criminal damage offence that happened on Buckingham Road.

At around 4.30pm on Tuesday (12/2) a man was driving a grey Skoda Superb along Buckingham Road towards the roundabout for the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital.

As he approached the zebra crossing near the roundabout he stopped due to traffic.

A man who was stood on the pavement has then punched the rear of the victim’s vehicle and the window whilst shouting at the victim.

The victim got out of his vehicle to speak with the man but he walked away.

The victim’s vehicle received a dent to the rear bodywork.

Investigating officer PC Jeremy Oldroyd, based at Aylesbury police station, said:

“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident and particularly anyone with dash-cam footage.

"This happened at a busy time of day and any information about the offence will be valuable to this investigation."
