The Chilterns MS Centre has welcomed Trishna Bharadia as it's new Patron.

Trishna will support the fundraising work and assist the Chilterns-based charity in their mission to be an embracing community of support to everyone affected by MS and help raise awareness of the impact of their work to the wider community.

Trishna said

“I’m incredibly proud and honoured to become the newest patron for Chilterns MS Centre. As a member of the Centre for many years, I know first-hand the importance of the services it provides but also the challenges it faces. I’m excited to hopefully bring the benefits of my experience, profile within the healthcare community and expertise to the role, in order to help the charity in continuing to successfully provide support to people affected by MS.”

Robert Breakwell, Chief Executive Officer at the Chilterns MS Centre said:

“Trishna is greatly respected within the MS community and beyond and an inspiration to everyone who meets her. Trishna’s connection with the Chilterns MS Centre goes back many years and we are delighted that she has agreed to join us a patron.  I know that she will be a fantastic ambassador for the charity and we look forward to a long and productive working relationship.”

Trishna's motto is “think about what you can do, not what you can’t,” and she encourages people to think outside the box in order to fulfil their dreams.

She has also been raising awareness and educating Asians about MS, a disease that is becoming more prevalent among Asians but is often hidden, for fear of stigmatisation or prejudice.

Trishna has attracted the attention of the Prime Minister’s Office and was recognised with a Points of Light Award in August 2018.
