Following the closure of the County Hall building this morning the switchboard is currently unavailable.

A County council Spokesperson explained: 

“This morning County Hall suffered a major plumbing problem to the extent that we have had to close the building for the rest of today. Specialist contractors are on site and we are working as fast as possible to repair the damage.

“Our business continuity plan is in place and staff are working remotely to keep any disruption to a minimum. Although our switchboard is currently unavailable customers can still contact us online by using the 'Contact Us' form until further notice.

We will be reviewing progress later this afternoon to see when we can re-open the building. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by today’s unforeseen events.”
