It was time to say goodbye to the RAF's famous Tornado over Buckinghamshire yesterday.

The iconic plane, with a distinct sound for many, has been in service for around 40 years, but is now retiring.

The RAF have been holding special flypasts across the country and yesterday it was Bucks' turn.

Here's how people across the area captured the historic occasion:

1. Flying over the Vale

Paul Deverill captured the moment and shared it on Everything Tring:

2. A striking trio

3. A popular place

Hundreds of people turned out to see the event, like here at the lay-by just outside Halton

4. Majestic in grey

5. Capturing a moment

RAF Media Reserves posted saying:

7644 personnel were fortunate enough to catch the Tornado fly past whilst working on another project with Recruit Training School at RAF Halton, the home of 7644

6. Farewell from Halton

7. Flying over our iconic RAF base

It might feel like goodbye, but the planes will still be used for training in the future.
